Description

The module introduces technology-driven innovation and entrepreneurship in a manufacturing context. Over the past decade businesses have become increasingly aware of the importance of making the most of new commercial opportunities, innovation and the initiation of organisational change. This module examines innovation-based strategies as a source of competitive advantage and how to build manufacturing-based organizations that excel at identifying, building and commercializing technological innovations. Further, the module considers what it takes to become more entrepreneurial or `intrapreneurial', by critically considering to what extent it is possible to replicate entrepreneurial DNA and grow it in a corporate context.
